Alan Wimbish- Local Director

Alan put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ at the age of twelve. He is a Raleigh native and upon graduation from Cary High School in 1994, Alan enrolled at Fruitland Baptist Bible College in Hendersonville, NC and graduated in 1997. Not only has Alan has served with CEF for over 10 years, he also has 5 years of pastoring experience. He currently attends Shepherd’s Theological Seminary, and is pursuing his Masters of Arts in Christian Ministry.

Alan has been married to Renee since 1996 and they have four children, Shawn (16), Samuel (14), Savannah (9), and Shelby Lynne (7).

Laura Gunn- Good News Club Coordinator/ CYIA Coordinator

While teaching elementary school teacher at Wake Christian Academy, Laura met her husband Archie. Laura has previously served as a committee member with the Raleigh chapter. Laura is our Local Coordinator here in the Greater Raleigh Area. Her duties include performing the planning, execution and supervision of after-school Good News Clubs® and 5-Day Clubs®, as well as Teacher Training . She is adding the duties of meeting with the committee and developing a team to carry out the local ministry. Laura and Archie have six children, all who have helped with the ministry of CEF in various ways. Their names are Samuel, Lydia, Bethany, Elijah, Rebekah, and Susanna.
